All goods are supplied in accordance with the following Terms & Conditions:

Minimum Order
The minimum order is £5.00 excluding postage and packaging. 
 
VAT
VAT of 17.5% is included in all prices.  Our VAT Registration Number is 920 8542 32.  Customers in the Channel Islands will have their VAT refunded but if you wish to take advantage of our free P&P offer, your order value must be £30.00 or over without the VAT.  Orders that do not meet this requirement will have the VAT refunded but will be charged P&P.
  
How to Order
It is easy to place an order with us -- simply place the items that you wish to purchase into your shopping basket.  When you have finished shopping, proceed through Checkout and pay via our secure server, Protx (in conjunction with Lloyds TSB).
 
If you don't want to enter your payment card details on the internet, you can still place your items in your shopping basket and then call us at the shop to pay for your order.  Simply add your items to your basket and proceed to Checkout.  If you don't enter your payment details, your order is logged as an "Attempted Order".  We can then retrieve this Attempted Order and take your card details over the phone.

All orders are posted in the order that they are received and phone orders do not take priority over internet orders.  Internet orders and attempted orders are easier and quicker for us to process as we have a printed invoice.
Payment
We accept debit and credit cards only.  All goods remain the property of The Bead Store until paid for by the buyer.
 
Discounts
Regrettably, we cannot offer any further discounts other than our free P&P offer for orders over £30.00.  Our prices are very competitive and by not offering discounts, we are able to keep our prices low for everyone.
 
Printed Catalogue
We do not have a printed catalogue -- our website is the catalogue.  We are always adding new items and a printed catalogue would quickly become out of date.

 

Postage & Packaging Charges

UK Postage:
We post all orders by either First Class Post, Recorded Delivery, Special Delivery or Parcelforce.  A signature is required for orders posted by Recorded Delivery, Special Delivery or Parcelforce.  All orders over 2kg in weight will be sent via Parcelforce.
 
Postage is determined by the value of the order as follows:
 
£5.00 to £10.00 = £1.50.
£10.00 to £30.00 = £2.50
Over £30.00 = Free Postage
 
All orders over 2kg in weight will be sent via Parcelforce.  This is an insured service that takes 3-5 days.
 
An option for Next Working Day Special Delivery is available for for orders placed before 11am, Monday to Friday.  Orders placed after 11am on Friday will be posted on Monday.  We do not post on Saturday and Sunday.  Please use this option if you require guaranteed next day delivery.  This offer only applies to orders under 2kg in weight.  All orders over 2kg will be sent via Parcelforce.
 
Special Delivery for orders under £30.00 is £7.10.

Special Delivery for orders over £30.00 is £4.60.
 
If  an order is not signed for and is returned to us, we reserve the right to charge for the postage costs of resending the order.   We will contact you before resending the order to confirm that you still wish to proceed.  If you do not wish for the order to be resent or no response is received within 14 days, we will refund the cost of the order back to the original payment card minus the original postage charge and a restocking fee of 25% or £2.50, whichever is greater.

International Postage:

We ship orders by Royal Mail Airmail or Royal Mail Airsure, which is a track and trace insured delivery service.  It does not require a signature upon receipt.

Orders from £5.00 to £10.00 -- postage is £3.50
                    £10.00 to £30.00 -- postage is £5.50
                    Over £30.00 -- Free Postage


Delivery Times
We aim to dispatch all orders within 48 hours, Monday to Friday.  We do not post on Saturday and Sunday.  All Special Delivery orders placed after 11am on Friday will be posted on Monday.

Out of Stock Items
Occasionally, one of your items may not be in stock on the date of your order. If this happens, we will dispatch all in-stock items and charge only for them.  The out of stock item will be put on back order if we expect it within the next 7-10 days and will be dispatched with no extra postage charges.  If the item is not expected within 7-10 days, the item will be shown as "Out of Stock" and you will need to re-order that item.

We will notify you via email if your order contains out of stock items.

Returns, Exchanges & Refunds
We are sure that you will be pleased with your purchase from The Bead Store.  If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, please return it to us within 7 days for an exchange or a refund (excluding postage and packaging charges).   You must notify us via email if you are returning an item, otherwise a re-stocking fee of 10% will be charged.

All exchanges will be charged postage and packaging for the new item.

Due to EU regulations, all earring findings are non-refundable.

All returned items must be suitably packaged to ensure that they are not damaged in transit.  We will not refund items that are damaged during shipping.

We recommend that you return items using Royal Mail Recorded Delivery.  We will not issue a refund for items that are not received.

Please use the correct postage for all returns.  Packages without the correct postage will not be accepted.

Damaged Items
If an item is found to be damaged upon receipt, we will refund the cost of the item (postage and packaging charges are non-refundable).  We require a photo of the damaged item via email prior to a refund being made.

Cancellations
Under the UK Customer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, you have the right to cancel your order within 7 working days from the day after the receipt of the goods without giving a reason. 

If your order has not been dispatched, you can cancel it by contacting us via email at info@thebeadstore.co.uk or by telephone on 01726 844999 or 01271 371181.

If you order has already been dispatched, the cancelled item(s) must be returned to us at your expense.  We will refund the order, or the relevant part of it, as soon as possible and in any case, within 30 days of the cancellation.  If you cancel an order and do not return the goods to us, we will arrange to collect the goods from you at your cost.


Product Numbers
Many of our items, such as findings and small beads, are packaged by weight so the number of items in a package is an approximation.


Product Variation
Due to the manufacturing processes, we cannot guarantee colour continuity or colour fastness. 

Due to the nature of handmade items, slight differences in shape or colour are possible.

Whilst every effort is made to represent an item accurately, it is possible that the images shown may vary slightly from the actual product due to variations in computer monitors.  Product images are not to scale.

Dyed Items
When using dyed items, we recommend testing these products for suitability first. We will not be responsible for any damage caused by dyed items. In the event of any claim, our liability shall not exceed the price of the defective goods.
