Each of our fair trade button is made and painted entirely by hand by a group of South African ladies.  We are totally committed to fair trade policies and to their workers. Every piece is truly a unique work of art.  The buttons are crafted from a stoneware/ceramic mix and undergo several firings at extremely high temperatures.  This is the secret to their strength.  All the buttons are machine washable and dry cleanable.
